Here are three of the most difficult challenges that family caregivers may encounter when looking after their elderly parents or loved ones.

Home Care Services Jasper, GA

Poor Sleep

As people age, their sleep patterns can be disrupted, causing them to wake up multiple times during the night. This can be due to a shift in their internal body clock, stress, or worry. If dementia is a factor, you may need to be vigilant, as sundowning and wandering could occur. Caring for your parents or a loved one requires a clear and rested mind, which is why getting enough sleep is essential for both your well-being and your ability to provide the best care. After all, you don't want to get so burnt out and tired that you take a trip to the hospital. Avoid getting burnt out and exhausted, as it could lead to a trip to the hospital.

 Elderly Care Jasper, GA

Lack of Support

Taking care of aging parents can feel overwhelming and like you're shouldering the entire brunt of responsibility. Moreover, thinking that you're the sole caregiver can be stressful and put unneeded strain on other relationships in your life. It's crucial to understand that caregiving is not a one-person task. Trying to handle it alone can lead to burnout, depression, and other serious health issues. It can also negatively impact the quality of care your parents receive.

 Senior Assistance Jasper, GA

No Privacy

Living with your parents can affect both your physical and emotional privacy, especially if one or both need significant amounts of attention. This can lead to feelings of fear and disorientation when you're not around. Similarly, it can be challenging for your parents to maintain their own privacy while you're taking care of them.

An acquisition in 2017 launched the project.

Coca-Cola Bottling Co. United has opened a new sales center and warehouse.

In what has been a season of growth for the Birmingham-based company after breaking ground on a new, $330 million facility in Jefferson County last year, Coca-Cola hosted a grand opening March 6 for a $19 million sales center and warehouse in Jasper, Georgia, according to a news release.

The new facility is 26,000 square feet and includes a sales and distribution center, warehouse, fleet shop and office space. It will be used as a hub to distribute product in several Georgia counties, including Pickens County, where the facility is located.

“The investment Coca-Cola United has made in our community not only strengthens Coca-Cola's presence in our region but also demonstrates their continued commitment to the city of Jasper and Pickens County,” Pickens County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Amberle Godfrey said.

Jasper Coca-Cola, a subsidiary of Coca-Cola United, is behind the new facility. It has 58 employees and more than 1,000 customers. Birmingham's Coca-Cola United purchased Jasper Coca-Cola in 2017.

“This facility will create new job opportunities, foster economic growth and ensure that Jasper and Pickens County remains a leader in the business sector,” Godfrey said.

Coca-Cola United has more than 10,000 associates across its 50 facilities in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.

The company's upcoming $330 million investment in a 100-acre site in the Kingston community features 150,000 square feet of office space and 300,000 square feet of warehouse space. To kickstart that project last year, Coca-Cola United received economic incentives from both the city of Birmingham and Jefferson County.
